*scots dragoon guards pipe and drums* The Pipes and Drums latest album, Spirit of the Glen, which was released to critical acclaim in November 2007, reached the Number 1 spot in the Classic FM Charts for Christmas. The album also charted as high as Number 13 in the main pop charts. Spirit of the Glen held the top spot in the Classic Charts for 8 weeks and has, to date, sold more than 300 000 records worldwide and as such has acheived 'Gold' status. This is the second Gold selling album the band has released - though with an interval of over 37 years! A Copy of the CD was presented to the Prime Minister in December. As a direct result of the album's success, it has been shortlisted for the album of the year award in the Classical Brits. susan boyle - Susan recorded here at heartbeatstudio in 1999, she recorded three tracks "Cry Me A River", "Killing Me Softly" & "Don't Cry For Me Argentina". We knew at the time she was going to be a huge success someday. The recordings are not in the public domain, so we are unable to even give you a clip due to the enormous illegal downloading surrounding Susan. We wish her very success in Britain's Got Talent !!!!!	matthew & melissa - A local brother and sister duo who give Josh Groban & Eva Cassidy a run for their money. *gerard kenny* - International performer and composer, who has written for Barry Manilow “I Made It Through The Rain” and ITV's Minder TV Theme “I Could So Good For You” and the ubiquitous "NewYork,NewYork". His career started in New York where he would perform with people such as Billy Joel. Gerard recorded the song "Canberra" at heartbeatstudio this was for the last sailing of the ship which he was a regular guest performer on. www.gerardkenny.co.uk	*kenny herbert* - Edinburgh singer/songwriter, has recorded 2 albums and various singles in heartbeatstudio using some of the musicians on this site. *david paton* - Pilot lead singer/songwriter with credits including "Magic" and "January" and pervious bass guitarist with Sir Elton John & Camel to name but a few. www.davidpatonsongs.com David is currently performing at the Jam House Edinburgh.	*jon cohen* - One of the UK's leading producers of Classical "Crossover" music. He has written and produced records for all UK major classical labels and has produced and written for artists such as Vanessa-Mae and Operababes. *bob heatlie* - Composer with credits including "Merry Christmas Everyone" with Shakin’ Stevens and "Japanese Boy" with Aneka both No.1 Hits. Grammy Award winner for the song "Cry Just A Little Bit". And at the moment writing for children's programmes such as "Kipper the Dog". In the late 70's Bob and David played together in the "Back Marker" in Tranent as "The Odd Couple", today they are more like Edinburgh's "Jack and Victor" from "Still Game". en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Heatlie	*moray innes -* For years Moray was David's sax player, since joining the army he has found an incredible swing voice. He is regularly performing all over the country with a 16 piece swing band where he does a tribute to Sinatra and plays sax. Moray is available for session work.

Now with retirement beckoning they've revealed their hidden lives as cabaret performers. As Abracadabarets they've been appearing irregularly on the Edinburgh Fringe since 1974 as well as entertaining at medical conferences in Britain and abroad. www.abracadabarets.com
*george watsons school pipeband* – We have recorded 4 albums for this band, they are preforming internationally and winning many competitions in the UK and abroad. www.gwc.org.uk/pipeband	*stewart melvilles school pipe and drums -* Now recording their 2nd album after selling a few thousand of the first album. dougie mcquillan - Dougie has been performing at Finnigan's Wake Victoria St, Edinburgh for so many years he has run out of fingers counting. He has produced numerous albums and is an Edinburgh legend on the scene. www.geocities.com/dougiemcq	*gary collins* - Gary has recorded 3 albums with us, 2 Elvis sound-a-like and one in his own style. David and Ed were both very impressed with Gary's vocals and his professionalism and is constantly working all over Scotland as a solo artist or an outstanding Elvis Tribute Show. *iain mckinna* - Iain is an Edinburgh based songwriter/producer with his own studio Offbeat. Over the years we have helped each other out on various projects, including ZED which was produced by Chris Harley of Runrig fame. www.offbeat.co.uk	writing on the wall - Jimmy Hush the drummer with Writing On The Wall has been mastering the last recording ever made of the band, which will shortly be available online. Jimmy has also recorded a solo album, and his sons have also done an EP.
mike purves - For the last few years Mike has been writing an album of soul songs, which we have arranged and produced here at heartbeatstudio and also using session singer Amanda Lyon. He has also been a support artist with Gordon Campbell for Shakin' Stevens on a UK tour in the 80's.	*amanda lyon* - She is a local girl with a soul voice, doing many gigs around Europe, with the likes of Ray Wilson of Genesis fame. Amanda is a very talented session singer, who we have also co-written and produced an album of original songs with.
*unknown hagana* - They have worked tirelessly since their humble beginnings as a 6 piece indie/ska/stoner fusion band. After releasing their first EP in mid 05, the band work hard gigging all over Edinburgh and have also played the legendary Cavern Club in Liverpool. www.myspace/unknownhagana	*handy leon -* Leon is from Zimbabwe and a DJ and singer performing all over the UK and digital television. dani iannarelli - Dani is a local all round entertainer from stage, TV and film. His great love is teaching tango and singing standards, he has been in West Story and Da Vinci Code. www.tango-la-dolce-vita.eu	rab howat - Rab has been part of heartbeatstudio since it opened in 1982, he joined RAF with David. Recently he has been songwriting with Kenny Herbert and also performing regularly in Edinburgh. He is a very versatile session guitarist and always comes up with rocking riffs and ideas.
*pbs/discovery channel* - The studio was hired out to PBS/Discovery Channel to do the sound to picture for the "Battlefield" series of documentaries.	*alan titchmarsh show / songs of sister act* - 2009 saw us recording and mixing the backing track performed on The Alan Titchmarsh Show 02/02/09

*nikki king* - Scottish jazz singer in recording 3 new tracks for a forthcoming album. In 2001 Nikki won the Perrier Jazz Vocalist Award, 2005 she reached the finals of European Jazz Singer Awards. She has also opened for Al Green, The Average White Band and headlining at Queens Hall (Edinburgh), The Blue Note (Tokyo) and Ronnie Scotts.	*ashleigh gray* - A London based musical theatre performer, Ashleigh sung her original demos here at heartbeatstudio. We were very impressed with her vocals and her performance. She has also performed on BBC and many of the top London stages.
ronnie kermel - A Hank Marvin sound and look-a-like, here is the segue we produced for agents.	colin chisholm - Colin performed a dance mix of "Pretty Woman" which heartbeatstudio arranged and produced. We have also produced and mastered many of Colin's tracks for his hit stage show. www.colinchisholm.com
saxcess - A local instrumental group of 4 women playing woodwind and sax. Saxcess where looking for a promotional CD to show the different styles of music they play. We edited their recording into this segue. Segues are great for getting gigs as very few agents will listen to a fully CD.	linnie paterson - This is a recording of "Get Ready" recorded shortly before Linnie's death to raise money for charity.
the gorgie noise - "H-E-A-R-T-S" was written and performed by David Valentine, Kenny Herbert and Dougie McQuillan and is available from the Hearts Superstore.	sophie and charlotte - 2 Edinburgh school girls with the writing and singing bug, they came to us with an idea for a pop song, we came up with this.
*elkin* - A local Edinburgh band who recorded an EP.	*richard winsborough* - This is the recording of "La Donna E Mobile"
clockwork pig - A jazz/funk band formed at Jewel & Esk Valley College, Edinburgh.	*neil mcnamara* - Neil came into the studio as a gift from friends, he had an idea for a song. We think this is brilliant.
*eurovision entries* - Over the years we have co-written/produced three eurovision entries.	*david valentine -* "Missing" was written/performed by David for a TV documentary about missing children. Vocal /instrumental. Also as an 80th Birthday gift for David's mother we produced her favourite song.
amberjack - Three piece Americana Country Rock band doing their own material.	delta blues duo
runrig - Scottish rock/celtic band, they recorded the demo's for "The Cutter & The Clan" need we say more www.runrig.co.uk	*dave davis -* Dave has been playing all over the UK for 50 years, from Blackpool Tower Ballroom to Edinburgh's Balmoral Holiday. His music is perfect for dancing at any function. He has the original "Come Dancing" sound and reportee. We recorded Dave on location at the Maitlandfield Hotel, Haddington.
*nazareth* - Scottish rock band www.nazarethdirect.co.uk	*jim merrilees -* Big Jim as he likes to be called, as he is a rather tall guy. Has been recording loads of great original tracks on his own and in collaboration with American songwriters, and some covers with his own stamp.
	denis lynch - Denis is a very great session drummer and can be used on any tracks you wish. He has years of experience teaching and performing all over the UK. The great thing with Denis is he is rock solid with a click track, so takes can be transported to other studios for mixing.
